SURETY BONDS - CLAIMS

 

The Notice to All Claimants and a Proof of Claim (POC) form were forwarded to all persons with known claims or reasonably expected to have claims against Far West Insurance Company by December 9, 2001.

Please note, the bar date (last day to file a timely Proof of Claim) was September 30, 2002.  Far West will continue to accept any and all claims filed on the prescribed Proof of Claim form, but they will be considered late.  To request a POC form, please check “How to Reach Us” on the Home page for the toll free number or mailing address.  Please keep the Liquidator informed of any address changes.

Claims:   If a surety company is declared insolvent and placed into liquidation, Guaranty Fund protection may or may not be available. You will need to contact your state’s Guaranty Fund Association as well as file a POC with Far West.   Please refer to the Guaranty Fund Association section of this website for contact information pertaining to your states Guaranty Fund.
